ESS provides wireless products, parts, accessories and services such as repair and maintenance contacts, turnkey custom system and mobile installations, system design & engineering, program management, installation supervision, consulting, fleet and inventory management, fiber optics, wireless networks, microwave and tower services. ESS provides products and services from the simplest “push to talk” radios and installations to the most complex mobile data, wireless internet and sophisticated systems. In addition, our mobile installation department specializes in undercover & concealment, lights, sirens, flashers and computers.

ESS is the Largest Authorized Motorola Service Center (MSS) in the NY Tri-state Area. ESS is an Authorized Motorola Radio Equipment Dealer, Agent, State Contract and System Seller.

ESS has been in business for over 20 years. We have more FCC and Naber certified technicians than anyone in the tri-state area. We have heavily invested in state-of-the-art test equipment and tools. Our technicians only use manufacturer-specified parts on all repairs. Our computer aided dispatch system assures that service calls do not fall through the cracks. Our fleet of 40 equipped vehicles allows us to be where our customers need us when they need us. Our installation and project teams provide custom installations on any size system, fleet, or vehicle. Not to mention our staff of over 60 ESS associates working to provide customers with Total Customer Satisfaction. Our goal is to maximize our customer’s communications uptime.

It is with a heavy heart we announce that a beloved member of our ESS family, Don Owens passed away early Sunday morning, April 5, 2020.  Don, a technician for over 40 years, had been with ESS for almost 25 years, and prior to that worked for Motorola.  He was very active in his community and will be sorely missed by all of us. Please keep Don’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A Tribute to Bill Clark

The loss of our President and friend Bill Clark, greatly affected our ESS Family.  Bill was a brilliant businessman but more importantly, he was a kind and compassionate leader of every community he belonged to.

Bill worked for Motorola for many years rising to Vice President of Service for the Northeast Division before founding ESS in 1996. As President of ESS, Bill made it a point to know all of his customers and visited many of them personally. Bill was of the opinion that at the heart of every business relationship was a human being and he never failed to make that personal connection. He frequently spent time exchanging stories with his employees and took a genuine interest in every person he met. 

A giant of a man and a respected member of our community, Bill we be sorely missed but never forgotten, and we carry on…

To Our ESS Team, Customers, and Suppliers:

With the growing concern surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to take a few minutes to assure you that ESS is taking the necessary precautions to, first and foremost, protect the health of our employees and visitors, as well as best support our clients to minimize any business disruption.

We also ask that our employees, customers and supplier network monitor the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and follow the updates and recommendations around this highly contagious respiratory illness caused by the COVID-19 virus.

ESS is ensuring our teams adhere to our customers’ on-site requirements. We also want to ensure that, as an organization, you are also monitoring and adhering to the CDC advisories and recommendations so that we may continue to keep all of our teams safe during this outbreak.

As service providers we can do our best to ensure that we are performing due diligence to mitigate the spread of this virus.

There are areas to monitor during this time:

Recognizing Symptoms:

  • Coughing, sneezing
  • Fever
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing

Protecting Yourself and others:

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) standard recommendations for the general public to reduce exposure to and transmission of a range of illnesses are as follows, which include hand and respiratory hygiene:

  • Frequently clean hands by using soap or alcohol-based hand sanitizers
  • When coughing and sneezing, cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw tissue away immediately and wash hands
  • Avoid close contact with anyone with fever and cough
  • If you have a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your healthcare provider

Travel Advisories from CDC:  

Warning Level 3 for Italy, South Korea, Iran, and China (not including Hong Kong) and a Warning Level 2 Travel Advisory for Japan.

Qualify that no one who has returned from a Warning Level 2 or 3 location or who has had close contact with anyone potentially exposed to the COVID-19 virus is being dispatched.

NOTE: If anyone is exhibiting any symptoms, they should stay home until they have recovered. This is a protection for our clients and our co-workers.
